About the Author
As a queer poet living in the current Age of Terror, political unrest and in the aftermath of the mass shooting at Pulse nightclub in Orlando, FL. 6-12-16, my profession is not an easy one.
With so much hatred, violence, homophobic intolerance directed at the LGBT community (my family) on a global scale it can be a daunting ask to create art.
To come out as queer is still a radical act in 2016 and an artist must always speak truth to power.
These poems are dedicated in memory of the Pulse shooting victims, their loved ones and the Orlando LGBT community.
