Greetings and Salutations and Apologies!

A mistake I often make is doing things rashly and all at once in an effort to get ahead of or to control a situation. It's what makes me a good promoter and also a bad promoter.  This morning, I let a situation get out of my irritation limit and I inundated you all with tons of Facebook event invites for Stark Knights when previously I had planned to not even create one and let my blog do the work of both with informing and publicizing the events.

For this I apologize and after a good conversation with a colleague, I daresay an almost friend, I came up with a solution.

I have never really found Facebook events to be useful for Writing Knights events so after Stark Knights I will continue to not create individual events for Writing Knights functions. I feel they are a waste of time and annoy me just as much as I annoyed you. However, some people swear by these events and there is no reason why they should not have the event they want to promote to the people they want.

To balance these aspects, Writing Knights will give as much support as necessary for the participating performers for any event they want to create under the Writing Knights banner. Writing Knights will provide all necessary materials (online flyers, dedicated blog entries, etc) for these events to have the information necessary for the performers to get as many people to attend as possible.

In the past, Writing Knights has created these events and people would say they were coming, then not, or not say anything at all and ignore them. The best way we are going to get people to come to these events is if the artists themselves promote them, putting this aspect into the hands of the artists is the best way possible to get new people into the scene to see what kind of energy we have and what we are willing to do to perpetuate it.

With that out of the way, Stark Knights: The first show is tonight! You can find events and features here. The videos from each Stark Knights show will be made available on this blog and on our YouTube page, usually the next day or at least that week.

The Limited Edition Anthology: The Grail: Volume 1: Stark Roots will be available during and after the tour.  There will be only 100 copies produced.  We are asking $5 for each copy and if you attend the tour it is likely you'll be able to get each of the poets to sign the book, likely increasing the value in years to come.

I just want to remind you all about the 30/30 Writing Knights is hosting: Vestigial Words.  We have intention of producing the finished anthology by the end of May of this year.

The National Poetry Month Anthology: "Super Heroes & Villains" from 2014 should be available for sale by the end of next week.

We are currently on a chapbook slow because I am going to school and trying to pay the rest of that off. So if you have a book in queue that's what is happening and you will receive updates as they can be given.

We do have one chapbook release in the month of April: 2014 Grand Tournament Finalist, D.L. Woure who is performing April 27th at Cultured Coffee will be releasing a chapbook sometime before the 25th.

Speaking of the Grand Tournament, the Grand Tournament IV is now open for submissions. Get your submission in fast.  We are looking at Mahall's for the location, but nothing is confirmed.

Writing Knights: Stark is still going strong Monday nights.  Please check out the blog entries.  We are posting one a week after every get together.
